There's lots of things that I could brag on Philip about including how he always helps me out around the house, takes care of the yard, gets up in the middle of the night to get me water when I'm thirsty, made me a rose garden in our backyard, but the thing I'm most proud of this week is that he had the courage to invite someone to church with us for his first church service EVER. This is kinda of hard to explain how special this was. Anyways, I really feel so blessed to have such a wonderful man as my husband! Wish I had a picture of him to share, but he likes to be the one behind the camera, so here's one he took of me and Raegan after tonight's church service.

Raegan turned 3!
Thought I'd share a couple of pictures from Raegan's 3rd birthday party. Above you can see her two cakes. Both were made by our talented friend, Jessica. The one on the left is Boots and the one on the right is Dora. Raegan is slightly obsessed with the show.
Both sides of our family made it up for Raegan's party. Above is a picture of Aunt Jenni and Raegan opening the princess wand that Aunt Jenni got for her. Raegan is wearing her 'fiesta' dress that her GiGi bought for her.
This is one of my favorite pictures, just because it shows most of the kiddos. They pulled the strings on this Dora pinata until lots of candy and toys fell out. They put all their goodies in their purple 'backpacks' that I made from purple lunch sacks and this template at http://www.nickjr.com/printables/doras-backpack-map-template.jhtml
March 24th was a beautiful, sunny day and we are so glad so many people came out to celebrate her birthday with us!

Raegan's love for Qudoba
A new Qudoba opened up near our home earlier this month, with busyseason, Philip is often left to decide what he and Raegan will eat for dinner, which means last night was the 3rd time Raegan has been to Qudoba in 3 months. (please don't judge)
After we found our seat Raegan let me know that I hadn't been there before only her and daddy. A manager was walking by checking in on the different tables and as he walked past us, Raegan hollered out at him like "aahhh!" and he turned around and said are you talking to me, in a joking manner... Raegan just smiled and blushed and then a few minutes laster he brought her a chocolate chip cookie. Philip then told me that all three times they had visited Qudoba, this employee had given her a chocolate chip cookie. I checked the menu to see if they were suposed to come with the kids meal or something, but no they definitely aren't suppose to be free and the manager didn't bring a cookie for any of the children around us. With a huge smile on her face, Raegan told him thank you for the cookie. After he walked away she said, "mommy that's my boyfriend" and then preceded to blow kisses at him while he went behind the counter. I think it was time for his break because we didn't see him for awhile and Raegan kept asking "where'd my boyfriend go?" Then when Raegan saw him from across the room she looked at me with a sense of urgency and said "mommy there he is, wipe my face."
Wow, we are going to have our hands full with this little girl!

Miss Ornery
Raegan's recent sentences:
I don't feel well, I need to go to the doctor
She's needs to get down before her mommy comes outside (after seeing a little girl in the neighborhood climb up on her mailbox)
I want to show you something, I made this for you
Why her not listening?
I don't like that one either (talking about a song on the Just Dance III game for the Wii)
I want to go to the grocery store and go shopping
I play with my cousins
My birthday in March, Nanny coming to my birthday, Aunt Melissa go to my birthday, Grammee go to my happy birthday, not papa, not aunt melissa's daddy
Not right now, maybe tomorrow
Look at that long line (while we were sitting in traffic)
I have too many boy friends, I have 5 boyfriends
I'm baby's momma, you're baby's grandma
You can't come to my happy birthday because you're not listening
"Daddy, I have a puppy for my happy birthday please?" then I repeated her and she said "I already said that"
and perhaps the best yet:
Me: You're ornery
Raegan: I know I am
She's growing up too fast! Saturday night we went out to dinner and I took Raegan to the restroom where she insisted on us having separate bathroom stalls. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, but she did just fine all by herself and all I had to do was pick her up and put her on the counter so she could wash her hands afterwards. Made for a much faster bathroom trip than we've ever had, I think even Philip was surprised.
We are in the process of sending out Dora invitations for her Happy Birthday, only 33 more days.

Miss Independent
Ever since getting her own ipod touch for Christmas, Raegan seems to think she is all grown up. Some of the things she's told us recently:
"What are you doing in MY room?'
"Leave me alone"
"I don't want you in here"
"You're not my best friend, Dutch is my best friend"
"Yes, you have to"
"Because I don't want to"
She also will now play by herself in her room or playroom for what seems like hours. She likes to pick out her own clothes and gets upset if not everyone in the family is wearing the same color.
Today when she wanted more yogurt and I was watching the Baylor girls basketball game with Philip in the living room, she brought me her spoon and bowl and then opened the fridge got the yogurt out herself and brought it to me, told me how much to put in her bowl, and then took the yogurt back, set it down so she could open the fridge put it away before coming back to get her yogurt from me and then took it to her table in the kitchen to eat it. Philip and I just looked at each other like man this parenting stuff is getting easy!
So its kinda just like we have a new roommate, except for she should have to pay rent as she takes up about half the house with all her belongings : )

I haven't seen it in years!
Funniest thing I heard all day:
Raegan: Where'd the choochoo go mommy?
Me: I don't know I haven't seen it in awhile
Raegan: I know I haven't seen it in years
Me: In years?
Raegan: Yah

Happy New Year
Happy New Year! There were so many great memories from 2011, but my favorite has been spending quality time with Raegan. I'll never forget watching her explore new things, answering lots of questions to help her understand her world and laughing as I see her attitude and character develop. So here's a video of myself and self proclaimed "Precious Princess Raegan" just dancing in the kitchen with the sun shining on our faces and here's to a new year of making many more happy memories.
